Our ancestors moved through their environments with keen senses and minds hungry to make out patterns and connections. Moon, Sun and the cycles of plant life have a long and ancient history. The moon, believed to be the source of rain, was invariably linked to the health and vitality of the land. Her waxing and waning sequence was associated with growth cycles in a connection so profound that farmers still plant their seeds or graft trees only during the new moon. In this folio we’ll enter the midnight garden. We’ll hear the stories of men and woman who used plants to move in sacred harmony with the moon and protect themselves and their loved ones with her magic.
